Justin, Magnolia, and I have been doing great! We all have been getting adjusted to having our little one at home. Noli is already changing and growing. We go to the doctor tomorrow, so we will see just how much she has grown! Here are some more pictures of our little blessing!

On Saturday June 27, 2009 @ 3:12 am, Magnolia Dara Douglas arrived! She weighted 7lbs 14oz and was 19in long. What a blessing she has been to us already! Here are some pics for you all to see!!!

Getting Things Ready!

Getting Ready for the Baby!

I have been trying to slowly get things ready for the baby and her room. I have Monday off, so Justin and I went to Madison to pick up a few things. I needed to get a couple pair of pants for work, so we went o Goodwill. While there, I of course had to look at the baby clothes and found a couple that I liked!!! Its so much fun looking at little girl clothes! Then we went to Joann Fabrics to get some....fabric! LOL We rent our apartment and don't plan on being here for too much longer, so I wanted everything that I did to the baby's room to be transportable. I though instead of painting, I would drape one wall in fabric. I got this really cute green, pink, cream, and brown stripped fabric. It will tie all the different things I have planned together. I also did some paintings for her room. I wanted them to be sweet and something that she could keep for when she grows up.....my first gift to her! Anyway, Justin and I have another ultra-sound in the morning....so look forward to seeing pics from that and more pic of the baby's room as it progresses!

Lucca, Lucca, Lucca

Ok, so my Brother, sister-in-law, their nephew Jessi, and most importantly my nephew LUCCA came to visit for the weekend! They got in late Friday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon. Even though it was a quick visit, Justin and I loved having them.

Justin, Nick, and Jessi went out ice fishing in the afternoon. They didn't catch anything themselves, but they still had a good time just experiancing being on the ice. Amanda and I were a bit worried about them driving on the ice, but they did it anyway...oh well, I guess it was okay!

After they got done ice fishing and I got off work, we had dinner at the Boat House. Its this little bar/restaurant on the lake. Its funny becasue the locals just drive up and park on the ice and walk in. Lucca had his dinner there too....yummy yams I think. Well as you can see from the pics....he wasn't feeling it!

After dinner, Justin has youth group, but the rest of us went to Walmart and got some Packer gear. Nick wanted everything....go figure! haha By the time we got back we were all getting tired, so we just hung out and then went to bed.

Sunday morning we all went to church. Then came home to pack them up and get some lunch. We had tacos for lunch, then took a few pics with Lucca before having to say goodbye :(

Well, it was a good weekend and we can't wiat to see them and the rest of our families in May!

Good News & Sad News

Wow, so I have been horrible as of lately about updating my blog!!!

Anyway, a lot has happened since the end of September. For starters (and also my good news), in October Justin and I found out that we are going to be parents!!!! So if you do the math, that means that sometime at the end of June (possible the 27th) we will be expecting our little GIRL!!! Yeah, a little girl! We are very excited, but don't ask what her name will be....its a secret!! I am having fun thinking and planning her nursery and just getting things ready. We went to Babies R Us last week to register for ALL the things we "need." Let me tell you....that store can make first time parents feel stupid and overwhelmed within a matter of minutes.

Now on to the sad news I suppose.... Unfortunately, on December 21, 2008 my papaw passed away. It was a very sad and hard to take time in my life, but I am so grateful for the amount of time that I had with him...and the quality of that time. Its hard to think that someone you love and cherish so much is just gone one day...never there for you to see again. I just hope and pray that I will one day see him again. Our family is doing good though. I was really worried about Granny, but I think that she is just happy to know that his in no longer struggling. Okay, ok...enough of the sad news....I need to change the subject!
